Description
Among German kayakers this is called the start of the Abseilstrecke. Besides an adventurous walk along the right riverbank downstream all the way to the Napoleon bridge at Kobarid, there is not much you can do here, but it’s a very nice spot.
How to get there
On the road from Bovec to Kobarid, about 1,5 kilometers after passing Trnovo ob Soči, there is a long parking lot at the left side of the road just after kilometer post 9,0, park there.
During the walk
Walk to the end of the parking lot in direction of Kobarid. The path down to the river starts as a gravel path. After about 30 meters take a footpath that branches off to the left, more downhill towards the river.
